About Kayla
Kayla is a Senior Associate at Ward Circle Strategies where she provides a range of communications, research, and writing support to clients. Before joining Ward Circle, she held writing-related roles in the field of education.
Kayla was born and raised along the Jersey Shore, and moved to NYC to attend Pace University. In 2019, she graduated with a Bachelors in English, and double minors in Marketing and Women and Gender Studies. After school, she taught English Language Arts to 5th through 7th graders at Success Academy Charter Schools in the heart of the 2019-2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, she took that unprecedented experience to Washington, DC to lead writing support programs at American University’s Writing Center. Today, Kayla tackles many projects for Ward Circle Strategies’ clients – written and otherwise. When she’s not writing professionally, she’s working on personal fiction projects.

- You can catch Kayla at local karaoke nights belting her favorite tunes.
- On weekends, Kayla likes to cafe hop while writing her novel (and yes, sometimes writing looks a lot like online shopping, but that’s all a part of the process)
- Kayla has completed the National Novel Writing Month challenge of writing 50K words in 30 days –twice. She promises she will never do this again.
