About Gillian

Gillian Marcus is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt with certifications in digital marketing from the AMA and Digital Marketing Institute. She brings 10 years of cross-industry experience in program support, customer service, data analysis, and sales operations. Much of her career has been spent in identifying and satisfying client needs through custom-fit solutions developed from deep contextual understanding.

In her most recent role prior to WCS, Gillian was a Sales Support Specialist with Comcast Business (CB), the Comcast subsidiary that provides network and connectivity solutions to businesses. Gillian provided end-to-end support to two small and medium business sales teams, working to identify and remove obstacles that prevented her teams from successfully completing sales and installing services. She also assisted with Comcast RISE, a multi-year CB project to provide marketing, creative, media, and technology services to BIPOC and female small business owners. Serving as Order Entry Subject Matter Expert, she conducted quality control checks on and submitted all RISE orders for the beltway region, building over 90% of them herself.

Before her role at Comcast, Gillian worked as a contractor with Inteleos, a non-profit certifying body that provides medical professionals assessments to demonstrate their expertise in imaging-related specialties. Working with the customer care department for the Association for Physician Certification and Advancement (APCA) branch of the organization, Gillian answered questions and conducted quality control checks on applications for the CBCCT, CBNC, and CBCMR exams.

Prior to her role at Inteleos, Gillian worked with two other non-profits in the healthcare industry: Adventist Healthcare and the U.S. Pharmacopeia. Based in the Aquilino Cancer Center, Gillian assisted in the day-to-day operations of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital’s integrative medicine program and worked closely onsite with the Medical Director and Program Manager. At the U.S. Pharmacopeia, a pharmaceutical standards-setting organization, Gillian’s primary role was technical; however, she assisted in researching and implementing practices to improve customer safety, designing flowcharts to detail laboratory operations, and producing job safety analyses for the operation of packaging machinery.

Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Duke University.
