About Diane

Diane Klein is a program director, service designer, and experience designer who has been leading cross-functional teams for over 30 years. With a strong ability to grasp complex issues and manage the aspirations of multiple stakeholders, Diane excels at developing real-life physical and digital solutions.

Prior to joining Ward Circle Strategies, Diane was an Experience Design Lead in Mayo Clinic’s Center for Digital Health, where Diane provided design leadership on product teams, collaborated on strategy creation for product portfolios, and partnered with multidisciplinary teams on multiple concurrent projects and products. These projects and products encompassed various aspects of telemedicine and hybrid models of care to increase healthcare accessibility, improve patient outcomes, enhance communication, and enable more personalized care.

While at Mayo Clinic, Diane also had the roles of Service Designer and Project Manager for the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Healthcare Delivery, and the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation. In these roles, she collaborated with various practice and operational groups within the organization to represent the needs of end-users and create innovative solutions, new services, processes, and tools. These projects included work in Emergency Medicine, Hospital Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Nursing, Outpatient Practice, Radiation Oncology, and Surgery.

Before joining Mayo Clinic, Diane held leadership positions at Hipbone Design and ESI Design, where she managed multimedia projects, client relationships, and large multidisciplinary design projects ranging from Sony Corporation’s Flagship Stores and Museum in New York City to the Shanghai Corporate Pavilion for Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.

With a career spanning the healthcare, design, and experiential design industries, Diane brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects to her current role at Ward Circle Strategies.
