About Joetta
Joetta Wade has a remarkable 20-year career working within the TRICARE system, beginning her journey in her hometown, Myrtle Beach, SC, where she started in the claims department under the Palmetto GBA (PGBA) contractor with Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Over the course of Joetta’s career, she eventually made her way to the DMV area, where she transitioned to TRICARE enrollment with Health Net Federal Services (HNFS). Her dedication and expertise earned her several promotions, including Lead TRICARE Service Center Representative and Lead Provider Relations Representative. During this period, she also worked closely with the Public Health Department, as the Lead Data Entry Clerk at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH), now known as Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center.
In 2013, Joetta’s experience led her to an Administrative Support position with the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) Communications Division, which later became known as the Defense Health Agency (DHA). After three years with the team, Joetta returned to her hometown of Myrtle Beach, where she assumed the role of Lead Revenue Cyclist. In 2018, she moved back north to rejoin the DHA Communications Division as a Customer Service Support Specialist with the Benefit Education Research Team.
Joetta’s military connection runs deep, having grown up as a ‘military brat’ with both parents serving in the United States Air Force. With a strong family legacy of military service, Joetta is dedicated to supporting service members and their families.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Joetta is passionate about caring for and supporting her family.

3 Fun Facts
- Joetta loves to craft. She makes custom hanging wreaths, printed vinyl/flip sequence for clothing, personalized cards, and creates arch balloons.
- Back in her hometown of Myrtle Beach, SC, she was a well-known all-around athlete, which led her to play basketball and volleyball throughout college.
- At around 8 years old, she had the pleasure of meeting the world’s greatest boxer, Muhammad Ali. He picked her out of a line to take a picture with him, then lifted her up and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. Though this was during the early stages of his Parkinson’s disease, he held her and mentioned that she reminded him of his daughters.
