About Heren

Heren Sequar has over five years of experience in administrative healthcare and program coordination for large health care organizations and significant volunteer experience representing students and youth.

At Ward Circle Strategies, she works on an expansive project for Navy Medicine with prime contractor, Deloitte.

Prior to joining Ward Circle, Heren worked as a program coordinator for HCA Healthcare where she was responsible for maintaining a safe and therapeutic mental health milieu by implementing administrative systems and policies, monitoring projects, and servicing patients.

As a Specialist at GE, she developed local market intelligence to understand strengths, weaknesses, competitive price levels, and commercial conflicts for sales representatives. She also was a part of a team that oversaw projects and implemented policies for an inclusive working space.

In addition to her work at Ward Circle, Heren volunteers with the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) in their ACT-SO Achievement Program (Afro-Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics). ACT-SO aims to recognize creative talent and academic achievement in the next generation of leaders.

Heren received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing from Old Dominion University. As an undergrad, she was one of 50 senators that represented over 20,000+ ODU students through the Student Government Association (SGA). She also served as the Director of Public Relations and a Scholar for the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).

  • I can fluently speak Tigrinya, a language spoken in Eritrea.
  • I was born in the US but spent my first five years of life living in Germany and the Netherlands.
  • I have been a pescatarian for five years (a result of watching the documentary “What the Health”).‚Äč
  • My favorite island in the world is Bermuda (I have been there three times!), and one of my life goals is to own property there.
