Caslon supports the Military Health System (MHS) and the Defense Health Agency (DHA) by providing media relations and strategic communications support for the Department’s media relations team.
Prior to joining the Ward Circle Strategies team, Caslon was an anchor, reporter and producer for KTUU-TV for five years in Anchorage, Alaska where she covered a range of topics that included politics to healthcare to the day’s top stories. Her reporting earned her two Edward R. Murrow awards, two Emmy nominations and several Alaska press accolades.
Caslon also spent a year and a half as the communications director for the Iowa Red Cross where she managed external messaging, marketing and media relations. While there, she gained experience in crisis communications collaborating with the media to help tell the American Red Cross story during small and large-scale disasters.
Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Caslon is a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago where she earned a degree in Journalism.

- Caslon adopted her cat, Hillary, after she was featured on the morning show she was reporting for during her first year in Alaska.
- Her favorite season is award season. She watches all the movies that are nominated beforehand.
- She’s surprisingly pretty knowledgeable about beer after working at a Chicago brewery while in college in Chicago.
