Michael Parker delivers writing, strategic communications, research, and operations support to clients in the government health sector. His policy knowledge and writing ability provide instrumental client support through the creation of articles, press releases, speeches, congressional testimonies, and social media services for non-profit and government clients.

At Ward Circle Strategies, Michael supports communications and policy research for clients within the Department of Defense Military Health System. He serves as a liaison for the Force Health, Protection and Readiness division within Health Affairs, as well as the Research, Development and Acquisition Directorate of Defense Health Agency. Michael utilizes his skills to effectively translate and communicate complicated issues into digestible and effective messaging for the general populace.

Prior to his role with Ward Circle Strategies, Michael served as Director of Recruitment with Work for Progress in support of Elizabeth Warren’s successful bid for U.S. Senate, co-running an office with 25+ staff. He also has worked for various non-profits’ policy shops – supporting the advocacy of youth rights, fair housing, and voting rights.

Michael has also served as the Youth Policy Project Director of Search For Common Ground-USA, the largest conflict-resolution non-profit in the world, as a coalition-builder and communicator for youth representation in Congress. With a tight-knit team, he was able to build out and effectively communicate a plan to create a Congressional Youth Empowerment Caucus on Capitol Hill. Michael formulated communications and strategy, garnering the attention of, and bringing to the table, organizations from across the political spectrum like the Center for American Progress and the Heritage Foundation. This work culminated in the creation of the Nexus Global Youth Summit, and a White House event centered around youth philanthropy and activism.

Michael Parker earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Gettysburg College.
