Ashley Bunce, brings an extensive background in non-profit management, public affairs, policy and advocacy to Ward Circle Strategies. Her true passion lies in serving her generation of post-9/11 injured veterans, their families and communities that support them.

Before joining Ward Circle Strategies, Ashley spent several years at the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF). In her various roles, she analyzed trends in combat injuries and rehabilitation to develop, shape and advance the mission, investments and messaging of the Foundation. In 2012, she helped move the Foundation’s headquarters to New York, NY.

Before her work spearheading the community relations and communications efforts of BWF, Ashley served as an intern for the House Veterans Affairs Committee. She subsequently was hired as full-time staff for Congressman Steve Buyer, Ranking Member of the Veterans Affairs Committee. There she enjoyed learning the government side of the issues facing returning veterans.

While majoring in Political Science at Texas A&M University, Ashley co-founded the non-profit Grateful Nation Foundation™, an organization that empowered college students to become active in serving their communities on behalf of their peers returning home Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom, injured.

She remains dedicated towards moving the needle and creating new pathways of healing, transition, meaning, and purpose for returning service members and their families. At Ward Circle Strategies, Ashley will build on her life commitment of advocating and creating opportunities for the injured and their families to thrive in their re-integration to civilian life through her expansive government and private sector network and subject matter expertise.
